Fairy Tail has some of the most beloved character pairs from any action manga and anime franchises, and the original creator behind the series has shared some of the awesome Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia! fairy tale story It’s still one of the most popular action franchises out there, and while series creator Hiro Mashima has moved on to new things, fans still keep the series in mind. This is due to the number of unique characters introduced during the original run of the series, some of these characters even becoming official pairs. But there is one major duo that fans really wanted to see come together at the end of it all.
Natsu and Lucy had their moments during the original series, and have continued to do so throughout the sequel series until now, but fans have been keeping this would-be pair alive thanks to all kinds of fun art and other things. The tribute even comes from series creator Hiro Mashima himself as he shared a number of fun new sketches to celebrate the fan-favorite duo of the past. The latest infographic from the creator shared to fans on Twitter brings the two together in a totally cool way, and you can check it out below:

We’ll see more Natsu and Lucy in action soon enough thanks to the official sequel series, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest. This sequel to the manga series is steadily progressing thanks to new comics from original franchise creator Hiro Mashima (which was then illustrated in full by his former assistant, Atsu Ueda), and was such a hit in its own right that it earned an official anime adaptation of their own. Unfortunately, a potential release date, cast, or production studio for Part Two has not been announced as of this writing.
If you want to get a quick start on the sequel before the anime debuts, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Officially licensed by Kodansha Comics. They described the supplemental series as such, “Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the entire Fairy Tail Guild are back! They’ve decided to tackle the ‘100 Years Mission’—a job that no one has dared to take on since the Guild was founded over a century ago.” A mysterious city, a bewildering spirit, a horrific new enemy… and a new continent to explore.
